Pizza Sharing

In Maths, we have been learning what the word 'equal' means and how to share equally. Our teacher gave us a pizza that had been cut into halves or quarters. We had to pretend to be a pizza chef and make pizza toppings with play dough. We then had to share the toppings equally on to each piece of the pizza.  

 

Achieving My Maths Goal

Today, Ruby achieved her Maths Goal of recognising and ordering numbers to 20.  

Ruby was excited to choose her next goal and decided that her next goal will be learning the 'ten and facts' , e.g. 10 + 3 = ?, 10 + 6 = ?

Writing Workshop

Ruby's current writing goal is to use her resource card when she is writing her stories.  Today in our writing workshop we practised our goal.  First we read the words on the word card.  We then took turns calling out a word from the card then we all wrote it down on our whiteboard.  The tricky part was thinking of a sentence using our word.  

Super Hero

Today Ruby was our Super Hero. She knows her goals and is working hard on achieving them. Super learning Ruby.

Author's Chair

Ruby has been working really hard during Write To Self time. She is able to write words that she knows like 'Ruby' and 'Mum'. You are a terrific author, Ruby!
